We provide care in the case of emergencies, illness or accidents in your home, or wherever you are in the Zurich canton when you need us. Day and night.
Our doctors are specially equipped to provide mobile response services.
In some circumstances, medical consultation over the telephone may be appropriate.
In the event of a medical emergency, our doctors can come to your home or wherever you are.
Would you like a consultation by telephone? We are there to support you capably and personally.
Patients with mobility issues can be provided with medical care long-term in the comfort of their own home.
We respond to medical emergency calls according to their urgency.
It is not possible for us to accurately predict waiting times or the order in which we respond because medically more urgent cases may have to be given priority.
We are sure you will appreciate our approach. In the case of life-threatening emergencies, please dial 144 to call an ambulance.
Our team of medically trained helpers will answer the call. Then the switchboard operator and our medical response coordinators will assess the best medical course of action. This enables us to provide you with the best possible assistance – be it a home visit or telephone consultation. We are always available by telephone during the intervening period until the doctor arrives or calls you.
Sudden illness, or a minor accident occurs, but your general practitioner’s surgery is closed, the children are asleep, you can’t leave the place where you are or are not mobile, for whatever reason – what now? We can respond to medical emergencies affecting anyone in the canton of Zurich: whatever your age, whatever your orientation and whatever your cultural background. We will support you professionally and with our full commitment while taking into account your individual life situation.
We provide you with comprehensive care, even after your treatment. After consultation with you, we can notify your general practitioner or the organisation responsible for your care. Thanks to our wide network of health care services, special practices and institutions, we can also help you find the right partner for your recovery needs.
We collaborate closely with the emergency services (144). If required, we can organise your transport to the hospital.
The SOS AERZTE switchboard is available to you through our emergency number as a local landline call.
Our medical services, including telephone consultations, are all covered by state health insurance and are settled through the TARMED system. TARMED is the uniform system throughout Switzerland for payment of outpatient treatments. For you as a patient, the same terms apply here as if you were visiting your general practitioner, as defined by your own health insurance cover.
